Beard's Roman Women is considered by some to be his least successful novel (plea of mitigation: it was written entirely while on the road in his Bedford Dormobile campervan). The novelist Anthony Burgess, who owned one and used it as a home and a means of travelling throughout western Europe in the late 1960s, described the Bedford Dormobile as "a miracle of British design, although much let down by slipshod British execution — screws missing, bad wood-planing..." # alexandre rodrigues | 31 de janeiro Comentários (0) | TrackBack (0) |
